Work experience 2025

Work experience provides our students with a unique opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on experiences across different industries. Throughout their placements, students will develop skills that are essential for their future careers, such as teamwork, time management, and problem-solving. They will be involved in tasks in the workplace, from customer service and project management to technical roles and creative industries, depending on the placement.

Students will have the chance to interact with professionals in their chosen fields, gaining valuable insights into the day-to-day responsibilities and challenges of various careers. This exposure allows students to explore potential career paths, discover their interests, and understand the skills and qualifications required to succeed.

In addition to improving employability, work experience helps students build confidence in their ability to navigate professional environments. They will develop strong communication skills, learn to adapt to different work cultures, and enhance their ability to work independently and collaboratively. The experience will also support their academic growth, as it allows them to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-world situations.

The experience of the world of work plays a crucial role in helping our students to make informed decisions about their future, while also providing them with a competitive edge in the job market.

This year, work experience will take place for Y10 students from 7th - 11th July 2025. Students will use Unifrog, an online platform that supports them in exploring opportunities, tracking progress, and making informed decisions. Unifrog provides valuable resources to guide students through the work experience process, ensuring they make the most of their placements. Please see the letter in the careers area on the school website for more details and instructions on how to log onto Unifrog.
